Monza - Italy 2008
Right from the word go, the Italian Grand Prix weekend had set itself as being one of the best yet. With rain soaked practice and qualifying sessions, the race wasn't any different, with the start under Safety Car conditions.
Vettel lead in to the race once the Safety Car entered the pits, and quickly set out to get some distance between him and second place man Hekki Kovalainen. With the weather gradually changing for the better, Lewis Hamilton managed to claw his way up the field from a dismal 15th on the starting grid, although lost out when he had to change the strategy from a one stop to a two stop for the Intermediate Trye choice.
Massa got through to finish where he started trailing Hamilton by only one point going to the next race in Singapore.
Overall the race was all about Torro Rosso and the newest man to win a race, Sebastian Vettel, his skill and determination that lead him from start to finish.
- Sebastian Vettel
- Hekki Kovalainen
- Robert Kubica
